Valentina Conchie is a Singapore-based mixed media artist, photographer, and curator working across painting, photography, collage, and moving image.
Originally trained in medicine, she established her art practice after moving to Singapore and has been dedicated to it ever since. Her work has developed into a distinctive and recognisable visual language shaped by both Eastern and Western perspectives.
Drawing on memories, dreams, folklore, science fiction, and pop culture, Valentina weaves visual mythologies of contemporary life, exploring themes of womanhood, identity, and collective narratives.
Colour is one of the central engines of her practice. She works with layered hues and unconventional palettes that often emerge intuitively in real time, guided by instinct and momentum.
Originally from Moscow, Russia, Valentina has lived and worked in Singapore for over eleven years. Her works are held in private collections in Singapore, Australia, and Taiwan.
